Since 2004, Blair C. Diaz, CPA, PC has served North Georgia individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits. The founder and principal accountant, Blair C. Diaz, CPA, leads a small but professional team dedicated to providing expert financial services.
Housed in the historic Garner Hulsey House on Gainesville’s Green Street, our company is a local business committed to serving our community. We believe in serving others by providing professional services to nonprofits throughout North Georgia.
While nonprofits are our specialty, we also provide quality accounting services to small businesses and individuals including bookkeeping, payroll, compilations, QuickBooks® consulting, tax planning and tax preparation. Our seasoned staff provides personalized help to each and every client.

Blair C. Diaz, CPA
Principal Accountant

Blair C. Diaz, a distinguished certified public accountant with over three decades of experience in public accounting across diverse business and nonprofit sectors, began her career at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in 1992. Passionate about nonprofit work, she established her firm in 2004 at the historic Garner-Hulsey House on Green Street in Gainesville, Georgia, positively impacting more than 100 nonprofit organizations and countless individuals/businesses across the North Georgia area.
A respected speaker on nonprofit finance and management, Blair actively engages with community groups and serves as a pivotal member of both her professional and local communities. She holds memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a graduate of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Hall program. Additionally, she was a previous member of the Northeast Georgia Health System Finance Committee and is a long-standing member of the Gainesville Rotary Club.
Blair’s leadership extends to various nonprofit boards, including the North Georgia Community Foundation, Gainesville Redevelopment Authority, WomenSource, and the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County. Her contributions have been recognized with accolades such as the Lee Arrendale Award for Vocational Excellence and Community Leadership in 2017, and the Gainesville Rotary Club’s Guardian of Ethics award in 2022.
Residing in Gainesville with her husband, Judge Joe Raymond Diaz, Blair cherishes time with their three children—Gabrielle, Anna, and Joseph—as they embark on their own professional journeys. In her leisure moments, Blair enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and fostering meaningful connections with family and friends.

Jennifer Hanson, CPA
Tax Manager
Bachelor of Business Administration, University of North Georgia, Class of 2007
Jennifer has more than fifteen years of public accounting experience providing consulting, planning, accounting, income tax, and compliance services. She works with individuals, small and mid-size businesses. Jennifer earned her BBA from North Georgia College & State University in 2007 and is a member of the GSCPA. Jennifer passed the CPA exam in 2012 while working full time and raising her daughter. She is a graduate of the 2024 class of Leadership Hall County. Additionally, she is a certified Hall-Dawson Court Appointed Special Advocate and currently sits on the finance committee of Quinlan Visual Arts Center. Although a native of White County, Jennifer currently lives in Gainesville with her daughter and their dog.

Tyler Grizzle, CPA
Client Accounting Services Manager

Tyler has been a key member of Blair C. Diaz, CPA, PC since 2015. Tyler has had experience with individual tax and small business finances but focuses more so on nonprofit accounting and consulting services. She received her undergraduate in 2015 and her MAcc in 2019, both from the University of North Georgia. She passed the CPA exam in 2023. She currently serves as the President of Keep Hall Beautiful and volunteers at other organizations when she can. Tyler lives in Dahlonega with her son and enjoys working in the nursery at her church on Sunday mornings.

Kevin Barnett, CPA
Senior Tax Accountant
Bachelor of Accounting, Atlantic Armstrong University, Class of 2000
Kevin has more than two decades of experience providing tax and attest services to a diverse client base of small to mid-sized businesses across a variety of industries. He joined Blair C. Diaz, CPA, PC in 2025 and Kevin’s primary focus is tax preparation and tax planning, where he works closely with clients to optimize their financial position and minimize tax liability.
Kevin lives in Cleveland with his wife Carla, their son Levi and their pets Coal & Biscuit. In his free time Kevin enjoys computer gaming.

Amie Ivey
Business Services Associate
Amie Ivey joined the firm in 2011 after working for the Census Bureau. She expertly supports the accounting team by providing bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax services to a wide variety of clients. Amie conveys a friendly level of client communication with the community. Amie and her husband, Tim, live in Gainesville with their two cats.

Heather Brown
Office Manager
Heather joined the firm in 2024, bringing more than 25 years of experience supporting C-level executives in a wide range of leadership roles across nonprofit and service-based industries. She is known for delivering exceptional client service and plays a key role in supporting our entire accounting team through her strong organizational abilities and firm operations management expertise.
Heather lives in Flowery Branch with her husband, Craig, and their dog, Diesel. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with her grandchildren, spending time with family and friends, playing games and cards, photography, and volunteering within her church and community.
