Since 2004, Blair Diaz CPA, PC has served North Georgia individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits. The founder and principal, Blair C. Diaz CPA, leads a small but professional team dedicated to providing expert financial services. Housed in the historic Garner Hulsey House on Gainesville’s Green Street, our company is a local business committed to serving our community. We believe in serving others by providing professional services to nonprofits throughout North Georgia. While nonprofits are our specialty, we also provide quality accounting services to small businesses and individuals including audits, bookkeeping, payroll, compilations, Quickbooks® consulting, tax planning and tax preparation. Our seasoned staff provides personalized help to each and every client. Through reliable communication and quality accounting, we create accurate financial reports that limit surprises and improve your financial decisions.

Blair C. Diaz, CPA

Principal Accountant

Bachelor of Business Administration, University of Georgia, Class of 1993

Blair C. Diaz is a certified public accountant with more than thirty years of public accounting experience in a wide range of business and nonprofit sectors. Her career began as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP and as a manager with a local firm. She has worked with a variety of large, mid-sized and small companies on a national, regional and community basis. Blair is an active member of her professional and local communities. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Locally, she has served on many nonprofit boards in the past including the Finance Committee for the Northeast Georgia Health System.

Blair currently serves as the Chair of the North Georgia Community Foundation and as Treasurer of the Redevelopment Authority of Gainesville. She is also an active member of the Gainesville Rotary Club.

Blair is a frequent speaker to community groups on the topics of nonprofit finances and management. In 2017, she was the recipient of the W. Lee Arrendale Award for Vocational Excellence and Community Leadership. In 2022, Blair received the Gainesville Rotary Club's Guardian of Ethics award, which is awarded to a club member who has made outstanding contributions that foster the development of ethics and whose personal and professional life exemplifies Rotary's four-way test, which calls for honestly, fairness, building goodwill and friendships, and performing actions that benefit all.

Blair lives in Gainesville with her husband, the Honorable Joe Raymond Diaz. Together they raised three children, Gabrielle, Anna, and Joseph, all of whom are now starting their careers.


Jennifer Hanson, CPA

Tax Manager

Bachelor of Business Administration, North Georgia College & State University, Class of 2007

Jennifer is a certified public accountant providing a wide variety of client services including consulting, planning, accounting, income tax and compliance. She has more than fifteen years of public accounting experience with individuals, small and mid-size businesses. Jennifer is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the 2023-2024 Leadership Hall County class. She is passionate about helping clients understand their tax situation and meet their financial goals. Jennifer and her daughter, Brinley, live in Gainesville with their dog.


Chelsea Sullivan, CPA, CFE

Audit Manager

Master of Accounting, Belmont University, Class of 2016 Bachelor of Science and Arts, Berry College, Class of 2014

Chelsea has a decade of experience serving different business and nonprofit sectors. Her areas of expertise are in audit and attestation services, as well as various consulting services ranging from forensic accounting to internal control review. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. As a native of Gainesville, Chelsea believes in giving back to her hometown community, including serving on several nonprofit boards. She is the Immediate Past President of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County and is an active member of South Hall Rotary. Chelsea was selected to be a member of the 2022 class of Leadership Hall County and currently serves on its Program Advisory Committee. Chelsea lives in Braselton with her husband, Andy, and their two children, Carson and Kirby.


Tyler Grizzle, CPA

Client Accounting Services Manager

Tyler has been a staff accountant with our firm since October of 2015. Tyler provides exemplary work in individual tax, small business finances and nonprofit services. She received her undergraduate in 2015, her MAcc in 2019, and passed the CPA exam in 2023. She is the Vice President of Keep Hall Beautiful. Tyler lives in Dahlonega with her husband, bonus child, and lots of animals. Tyler enjoys working in the nursery at her Church on Sunday mornings and doing jigsaw puzzles.


Amie Ivey

Business Services Associate

Amie Ivey joined the firm in September 2011 after working for the Census Bureau. She provides excellent support to the accounting team and friendly service to all clients. Amie and her husband Tim live in Gainesville with their two cats.


Kaitlin Brents

Office Manager

Kaitlin Brents joined the team in November 2022 with ten years of administrative experience. She has been living in Georgia since 2019 by way of Memphis, Tennessee. Kaitlin and her children, Liam and Ellie, live in Dawsonville with their dog and two cats.
